With the first day of spring right around the corner, daylight saving time begins Sunday, March 11 at 2 a.m.
Residents are reminded to move clocks forward one hour before going to bed Saturday night.
Beginning on the second Sunday in March and ending the first Sunday in November, the United States first observed the time change in 1918.
In January, State Rep. Rick Tillis, R-Lewisburg, introduced a bill that would exempt the State of Tennessee from the practice. The bill failed to move out of subcommittee.
